Experience Living and Serving at Ananda Farm
In 2018 we are offering a Karma Yoga Apprenticeship Program. There are 2 ways to participate; full-season or shorter stay. The full program runs from mid April – mid October, shorter stays range from 2 weeks – 2 months based on availability. We have 2 spots available for full-time Karma Yogis.
This program offers hands on experience in all aspects of our working farm.
- Annual and Perennial gardening – Vegetables from seed to harvest, Fruit, Berries, Herbs
- Animal husbandry – Goats, Chickens, Alpacas, Cats, and Dogs
- Value Added Products – Herbal Medicine and Food Preservation
- Community Building though Farmer’s Markets, Farm Events and Suppers, and Workshops
- Yoga, Meditation, and Philosophy

We have camping space as well as 2 tent-cabin bungalows (offered first to the full-season apprentices). Outdoor Kitchen, outdoor shower, and outhouse are provided. The 2 houses are a combination of community and personal space for full-time residents.
Program fee covers living space and basic food staples (farm grown fruit & veggies, goat milk, grain, beans, etc).

Full – season $300/month
Full-season Karma Yoga Apprentices have the opportunity to ‘break even’ on the program cost. After a positive 3-month review you may receive a small monthly stipend for the remainder of the program.
Is this program right for me?
Summers at Ananda Farm are intense and very fulfilling. Our service here is physically demanding and best suited for bodies able to bend, lift, and stand throughout the day. You must be comfortable with simple and basic outdoor living accommodations and provide your own tent and bedding. We’re looking for applicants that are self-motivated and able to work independently as well as being able and able to take direction and work in groups. Our way of life here is truly beautiful yet requires a tremendous joyful effort on our part!
